Excerpt: All Timelines Lead To Rome An excerpt from the very rough first draft of my NanoWriMo (write a novel in a month challenge) novel Scenario SeedsAlternate history ideas from
almost every era. A real Gold Rush era wagon
train diary that has been kicking around my wife's family since the
1850s. After a slow start they meet and don't particularly like Brigham
Young, interact with both friendly and hostile Indians and give you a
real taste of what life on a gold rush era wagon train was all about. POD is an amateur press magazine and also a forum for discussing AH and AH-related ideas. A lot of the comments don't make sense unless you've following the dialogue. Here are some of my general-interest ones.

ISSUE NOTES
So What Have I Been Up To? The big news is the website move. I put my stuff up on AOL's hosting service back when I didn't know any better, and never got around to changing that. Bad move on my part. AOL abruptly announced that they were going to shut down their web hosting. I got the message two weeks before the shutdown. So I scrambled to get a new hosting service and move 12 years worth of website over. And of course AOL made no provisions to redirect people to new websites, so a lot of people are going to be very puzzled as to where the site went. Thank you very much AOL. As I mentioned last issue, I finally bit the bullet and got my own domain name, something I should have done years ago. You'll find all future entries in the Alternate History Newsletter section of dalecozort.com. The old site is gone. If you happen to here about anyone looking for it, please do redirect them here. If any of you are interested in the Gold Rush era, you may want to check out the Gold Rush era wagon train diary I digitized and put on-line. It's been kicking around my wife's family since the 1850's but as far as I know this is the first time it has been online.
