In over a decade of writing I've accumulated some knowledge and experience with the writing world. It's a tough life.  It's not always or even usually fair.  It's full of traps for the unwary and hard right jabs to the ego.  It does have its fulfilling moments though.  I can't imagine myself ever giving it up.
